The mark consists of three concentric circles. The outer circle has a thick outline, the middle circle has a medium outline and the innermost circle has a thin outline. Inside the outer circle is the phrase "MUTTS WITH A" in upper case letters in the top half and "MISSION" with a dot on either side of the phrase, in the same font, in the lower half of the circle. The middle circle and the innermost circle outlines are broken up with the images of a soldier and dog placed inside the inner circle. The soldier is on the left side, and he is saluting with his right hand. The dog is on the right side, with an image of a ribbon above it. Two irregular pentagons are placed half way through the circle, from the outer edge to the inside, and they have the numbers "20" and "08" inside of them.
